Derbyshire Mind Fundraising Officer Vacancy

Hours:         22 hours per week, worked flexibly to include some evening and weekend work when required.

Salary:         NJC points 14-16. Starting salary point 14, £22,462 per annum pro rata.

Contract:      Initial 12 month contract.

 

Derbyshire Mind is one of a federated network of local Mind charities across the country. Our focus is on improving mental health and wellbeing for people across Derbyshire and Derby City. We provide a range of advocacy and community wellbeing services designed to support people with mental health problems as well as the wider population. We are committed to developing innovative and responsive services which further promote mental health awareness and wellbeing.

 

All fundraised donations that Derbyshire Mind receive currently go towards the delivery of our Enjoying Derbyshire project. Enjoying Derbyshire is a community based wellbeing programme designed to improve mental wellbeing across Derbyshire and Derby City. We offer a menu of one-off sessions and short programmes for people who may be struggling with their mental health, or just want to boost their mood and improve their mental wellbeing.

 

Are you a highly committed, dynamic individual wanting to make a difference and support the improvement of mental wellbeing in Derbyshire?

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled individual to increase Derbyshire Mind’s income from fundraising, and to develop systems, processes and materials for our fundraising work as a foundation for a sustainable income stream.

 

The successful candidate will have experience of working in the voluntary/charity sector in a fundraising or related role, excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills, as well as an enthusiastic and committed approach. The office base for this post will be Derby West Business Centre, Mackworth, Derby, however the post holder will be required to work flexibly across our office locations and to travel across Derbyshire as required.
