Derbyshire Mind uses Mydonate as its fundraising vehicle via our website. This offers a safe and secure way for you and others to donate, or set up your own fundraising page for Derbyshire Mind. The added advantage is that it provides the facility for people to gift aid their donations which raise a staggering 25% extra on top of their donation. If a fundraising page is set up people can also leave messages of good luck and you are able to see the running total of the amount you have raised.
We are aware that not everyone wants to use this method so please do not hesitate to contact us if you would rather your donation or fundraising efforts are provided to Derbyshire Mind in another way. We also have sponsorship form templates that we can send out to you.
What you need to do to set up a fundraising page
Step 1. Go to the Derbyshire Mind website and click on the yellow Donate tab, which you will find on the right hand side of the main menu across the top of the screen. This takes you to the donate page – click on the ‘Donate to us through mydonate’ icon.
Step 2. The next page you get to will have a purple menu running along the top of the page. Click on the ‘Start Fundraising’ option which is the first one on the left hand side.
Step 3. You then need to ‘Create your Challenge’ and you will be given a set of step by step guidelines
- You firstly sign up to mydonate if you are not already registered with them.
- Once signed in you will be taken to a search for a charity page. Enter Derbyshire Mind as the name and you will get a black icon with yellow writing saying Derbyshire Mind on it – press select.
Step 4. About your fundraising activity page is next. You need to fill in all the details about your fundraising activity. Note all those with a red * are required information, the rest is optional for you so do what you feel comfortable with. Your end date could be the end of the year if it is something you are doing gradually or it may be starting and finishing on the same day. and you can keep your page open as long as you want.
Step 5 promoting your challenge. You have options here and again chose what is comfortable for you but this is the last section and all you then need to do is spread the word and get people on board.
Derbyshire Mind is notified internally about anyone who sets up a fundraising page so we will be able to contact you if you agree to this. We can then keep in touch and promote what you are doing and more importantly thank you!
