Join the Mental Health Action Group who are working to fight stigma and discrimination in Southern Derbyshire
  • The Mental Health Action Group (MHAG) is a group for past and present users of mental health services
  • MHAG is an independent group run by past and present service users
  • MHAG has a Central Committee made up of Area Reps, Treasurer and Secretary
  • MHAG is run on democratic lines with each member being entitled to a vote
  • MHAG is is funded to work in the Southern Derbyshire area
Current Petition for phone line support service. This petition is hosted by MHAG and is part of the Group's commitment to support local service users.

  • To share our common experiences of the things which affect our mental health
  • To campaign for improvements in the services which affect our mental health
  • To draw together the skills and energy of service users in Southern Derbyshire to make a difference
  • To educate the public and help reduce the stigma attached to mental health

ABOUT OUR MEETINGS
About our meetings
  • We meet on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at various venues in Southern Derbyshire
  • Meetings start at 1.30pm and finish at 4.00pm (refreshments are available)
  • Meetings are friendly and relaxed to make everyone feel welcome
  • Transport or travel expenses are available for service users
  • You are welcome to bring someone with you for support if you need it
  • contact us for dates and venues of meetings
