Derbyshire Mind is looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our Senior Management Team as Community Services Manager. A varied and interesting role that is responsible for the overall management and delivery of Derbyshire Mind’s community mental health and wellbeing services and projects.

The Role

Community Services Manager

Hours: Full Time – 37 hours a week
Salary: £34,573 – £35,934 (after 5 years) per annum.  Starting salary £34,573 per annum.
Location: Flexible working: Home working, Office working in Derby or Chesterfield, and Travel across Derbyshire. The post will include occasional evening and weekend work.
Contract: Permanent

About the Role:

The Community Services Manager role would suit a creative, forward-thinking individual who is interested in designing and developing new services, as well as managing and growing our existing projects.

The role is responsible for the overall management and delivery of Derbyshire Mind’s community mental health services and projects.  They will also be responsible for supporting the Chief Executive to identify and secure new opportunities, to expand the community services programme and for mobilising these as required.  They will lead the fundraising function and be the senior lead in the organisation for marketing and communications.

The successful candidate will share our vision and values and have a deep commitment to improving mental health in Derby and Derbyshire.  You will have a proven track record of designing, managing, delivering and developing services and projects in a charity/voluntary sector setting, as well as experience of managing and developing staff and/or volunteers.  We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about expanding our range of services and growing our mental health offer.  Most importantly, you will be forward-thinking, with a positive attitude to change and new ideas.

The Community Services Manager will work as a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) to provide effective leadership and management of the organisation, in line with our strategy and values.

The role will be a combination of working from home and at one of Derbyshire Mind’s office sites in Derby/Chesterfield, with regular travel across Derbyshire and occasional travel within the UK.
