Derbyshire Mind has a long history of providing high quality, confidential, independent advocacy services. Our Independent Statutory and Community Advocacy teams support clients to express their views, wishes and feelings and assist them in safeguarding their rights.

 

We have an exciting opportunity for people to join our team in the following roles:  

 

We are looking for: :- 

 

Paid Representative Maternity Cover (18.5 hrs pw, based in Chesterfield, 23,188 p.a. pro rata)

The successful candidate will carry a complex and varied caseload working with a variety of clients including people with dementia, mental health problems, learning disabilities and acquired brain injury. The role involves visiting clients on a regular basis in care homes and hospitals throughout Derbyshire to support them to understand and exercise their rights in relation to the authorised Deprivation of their Liberty. The role also involves consulting professionals and reviewing health and social care records. Paid Representatives are also required to submit regular written reports to the relevant Local Authority.

Advocacy Support & Triage Worker (37 hrs pw) based in Derby, £20,000 p.a.

This key role provides a professional and accessible first response to clients and others contacting Derbyshire Mind’s Advocacy Services. The person appointed will respond effectively and efficiently to enquiries, provide information and signposting, triage referrals and deliver low level advocacy support.

Enjoying Derbyshire Community Development Worker  (22 hrs pw) based in Derby, £21,000 p.a.pro rata 12 months contract

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled individual to expand the offer of our Enjoying Derby Project.  The role involves developing a programme of well-being activities in the community across Derbyshiire and providing support to our existing walking programme.

The successful candidate will need to have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work on their own initiative and motivate others.  This post will be based in Derby but the successful candidate will be expected to travel throughout Derbyshire to ensure the effective promotion and delivery of the project.
