Enjoying Derby – Common Threads Textile Workshop

Following the successful Common Threads pilot project, Derby Museums and Derbyshire Mind are pleased to announce a rolling programme of textile workshops at Derby Museum for people affected by mental health problems.

The textile workshop will take place on the first Thursday of the month from 10-12.

The workshop is free but places must be booked.  All materials will be provided.

The first one is on Thursday 3 October.

Other dates in 2013 November 7 and Dec 5.

 Participants will learn about the history of textiles through making pieces using a variety of techniques including felting, weaving, knitting, braiding and sewing.
