Derbyshire Mind is committed to quality, both in terms of the services we offer and as an employer.
We regularly review our work through Board of Trustee meetings, committee sub-groups, staff groups and user evaluation and consultation exercises. Each service has a set of operational standards and a dedicated person to oversee each team’s performance to ensure services remain of a high quality for all of our stakeholders.
Derbyshire Mind was instrumental in the development of national quality standards which were introduced by National Mind in 2001 and remains committed to the regular review and implementation of these standards within the network.
The Mind Quality Mark (MQM) is a quality standard that all Local Mind Associations have to achieve to remain affiliated to National Mind, this is subject to regular review and monitoring to ensure Local Minds embed quality within their organisation and comply with the standards and requirements. MQM is a robust quality assurance framework which is made up of 23 indicators, measuring key areas which include but are not limited to; governance, planning, finance, monitoring and evaluation, engagement and participation and resource.
Derbyshire Mind has consistently achieved the MQM and continues to monitor and evaluate our performance and systems to ensure that we are delivering and operating high quality services.
In addition to the MQM we have been awarded the Quality Performance Mark (now known as the Advocacy Quality Performance Mark) for our Advocacy and IMCA Services. We were the first organisation in Derbyshire to be given this standard following our first application in 2012 and in 2016 were successful at retaining this at our review.
We have also achieved the Community Legal Services Partnership Quality Mark, in recognition of our high standards in the provision of legal information to the public.
