We are looking to recruit supportive and caring individuals with a passion for helping people in need, to deliver non-clinical mental health and wellbeing support at Derbyshire Mind’s new Crisis Support Drop-In service in Ripley!

Derbyshire Mind’s Crisis Support Drop-In services are friendly & supportive non-clinical crisis services for adults who self-define as needing immediate help with their mental health or emotional wellbeing. Located in Buxton, Ripley and Swadlincote, the services offer out-of-hours mental health help, support and signposting in a relaxed and comfortable community environment. The services will be open on Friday evenings, Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons, all year round.

We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and resilient mental health support workers to join our friendly supportive team and to help deliver this vital service to local people. This will include providing support to people who may be experiencing, or may otherwise experience, a mental health crisis. This includes offering a listening ear along with structured support to develop a wellbeing plan and signposting advice.

The Role

The Team Leader role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the team management.

Main duties of the jobThe Team Leader role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the team management. This will include, for example, general service administration, the line management of the Support Workers, supervising and supporting the volunteer team, coordinating the staff and volunteer rotas, ensuring all shifts have sufficient staff cover, leading staff one-to-ones and team meetings, ensuring stock levels are maintained, ensuring furnishings and equipment are clean and well maintained, reporting staff overtime to the finance manager, responding to local enquiries, liaising with the Service Lead, so that the service can deliver on its objectives.
